Mediation is billed by the hour and is usually split 50/50 between parties. Two weeks prior to the first session, a 50% deposit is required. DMS charges $250 per hour for private mediation. If court referred, the fee is determined by the Court and can range from $200 to $260 per hour. 

If a session is cancelled between 2 and 4 business days prior to the date of the session a fee of $200 will be assessed, to be paid by the party that cancels or split 50/50 if both decide to cancel. If a session is cancelled within 2 business days of the session a fee of $400 will be assessed and split as described above. 

If a session is postponed for any reason 4 days or less prior to the session a fee of $200 will be assessed to be paid by the party requesting the postponement or equally if both parties are making the request.

If a party fails to appear for a scheduled mediation date, and has not notified DMS, that party is responsible for a fee of $400. If both parties fail to appear that fee is split 50/50.
